About USM

The United Staff of Minnesota (USM) was founded in 2001 to represent the office professional staff employees of Education Minnesota, which includes office assistants, accounting specialists, a data systems coordinator, events specialists, maintenance workers, membership technicians, legal assistants, a paralegal, an IT specialist, production technicians, and a receptionist.

USM is governed by a contract negotiated every 2 years and an executive committee consisting of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, grievance chair, and three area representatives.
